I use to be on the team that's like, "Let kids bring phones into the classroom! We'll use them for learning!"
The problem, and the reason I've changed my stance, is simply that the attention economy makes this nearly impossible.

This is amazing - @MNmMath I wonder if there are any books or resources that document how to facilitate activities like this? This seems like an incredible activity, but not something you'd find in a traditional textbook.
A5 One time we separated into several groups and used our feet to measure the perimeter of the tennis court. When we all got a different measurement we talked about why we have standard unit of measure and then went back and measured with yard sticks! #ElemMathChat
