the gap between DAO hype and DAO reality seems enormous. Like people talk about them as the successor structure to the corporation. Whereas in reality, they seem to be investment clubs or poorly-coordinated bidding clubs at best? Are any of them doing anything more complex?

Its kind of disappointing tbh. Maybe people are losing the will to do things. Where is the DAO with a goal of building a country in international waters with repurposed aircraft carriers?
